Bello honored with Leadership Award from MAHCC

Mind & Media’s Chief Creative Officer and co-founder Aldo Bello was presented with the Mid-Atlantic Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (MAHCC) Leadership Award at the “Embracing Connections, Connecting Cultures” luncheon on September 15 in Manassas, Virginia.

The luncheon, held as part of Hispanic Heritage Month, was sponsored by the MAHCC, the Prince William Chamber of Commerce, and the Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (VAHCC), among others. Celebrating excellence in the Latino business community, the luncheon included a sampling of local cuisine from area restaurants, networking opportunities, and a special presentation honoring leaders in the Hispanic business community.

Aldo was recognized for his entrepreneurial spirit and accomplishments. In addition to founding Mind & Media with his wife Marilyn Finnemore, they also opened Bright Box Theater, a live music venue in Winchester, and Bright Center, a co-work space. Aldo is also a founding member of the Latino Excellence Council, and co-founder of Ideas America, a bilingual and bi-cultural digital video publisher.

Aldo is a member of the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce and Mid-Atlantic Chamber of Commerce. He is on the board of directors of the Skyline Indie Film Fest and the Immigration Film Fest, and is a member of the National Association of Latino Independent Producers and the Leadership Council of the University of Maryland’s Center for Global Migration Studies.

Other honorees were Carlos Castro, president and CEO of Todos Supermarket and Diana Paguaga, founder and principal broker of DeSeguros LLC.
