Answer The Call

The Challenge

The Army wanted to highlight its environmental stewardship by documenting a pilot system to purify contaminated water that was being perfected at the Letterkenny Army Depot. More specifically, they wanted to show the public they were committed to protecting the environment on bases and installations worldwide and taking steps to find the most cost-effective and efficient solutions.

The Solution

To meet this challenge, Mind & Media created a dynamic video by:

  • Extensively interviewing the various clients and partners to create a product that reflected their diverse needs and points of view
  • Researching and writing a script that emphasizes the history of Letterkenny’s environmental stewardship and explains the water purification technology to a lay audience
  • Shooting and editing all footage to create a powerful testimonial of the Army’s commitment to safe management of natural resources
  • Adapting a camera for underwater taping of the purification process, allowing engineers to see their work in action for the first time

The Results

Mind & Media created an award-winning video full of beautiful imagery that successfully showcased the Army’s efforts to minimize the environmental impact of bases and installations all over the world. Using crystal-clear language, the video clearly explained the pilot program’s technology, which removed 95 percent of the contaminates from the water, to the public audience. Our client was so pleased with our work that they asked us to create a second video, explaining a different water purification pilot system to a scientific audience.
