Corporate Leadership
In 1994, Dr. Marilyn E. Finnemore and Aldo I. Bello formed Mind & Media, Inc., with a vision of creating a company where people feel respected and empowered, a place where they are challenged by work that requires intelligence, creativity, and cutting-edge skills. They envisioned a place where they could offer clients excellent communication products and services that make a measurable change in organizations, communities, and our world-products that inspire action.
Realizing the power of language to make a positive difference in world and the importance of communicating via the right technology, they pulled together their unique talents to form a company that proved a business could be profitable and viable and still be humane, fun, and empowering for those who worked there. With a doctorate in English and an extensive background in technical and professional writing, Marilyn brought the MIND to Mind & Media, and with an MA in radio, television, and film, Aldo brought the MEDIA.
Recognizing the importance of giving their employees a great environment in which to work, Marilyn and Aldo have taken pride in restoring two buildings, one in the Del Ray area of Alexandria, VA, and one in Winchester, VA, and turning them into two beautiful, state-of-the-art buildings that inspire creativity. Our stellar products and solutions are the result of a culture where everyone is empowered to be a leader and where creativity and individual talents are recognized, rewarded, and cultivated.
Under Marilyn and Aldo's stellar leadership, Mind & Media has won over 170 awards since its inception, including a finalist mention in the Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards and a Production of the Year Award at the DoD Visual and Information Production Awards. Mind & Media was also named one of the Best Places to Work in Greater Washington by Washington Business Journal.
Our Team
Mind & Media has a talented, trained team of full-time Communication Architects who specialize in all aspects of MIND and MEDIA. These professionals have all passed a rigorous three-month orientation process to become certified Communication Architects, a training program conceptualized and designed by Mind & Media to ensure that our work is crafted in a manner that transforms thinking and inspires action.
Mind & Media employees recently participated in a survey to evaluate employee satisfaction at Mind & Media.
