CASA’s Semiannual Conference
November 2008For its fall conference, the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse (CASA) contacted Mind & Media to help document its annual conference.  Using three video cameras, Mind & Media captured the presenters, the panels, and the Q& A sessions, and used that footage to create a two-disc DVD set. CASA sells these DVDs on their website to their constituents and offers continuing education credits to those eligible.


Supporting Our Guardians of Freedom
October 2008 —Mind & Media has obtained an exclusive license to sell Parent, Spouse, and Veteran lapel pins under the Air Force’s “Your Guardians of Freedom” program. Airmen can purchase these attractive pins to show their appreciation for the sacrifices made by their parents and spouses, or to honor a veteran’s service. We sell these pins via our new e-commerce site at www.ygof.com.

Online Learning Series for American Cancer Society
August 2008 —Mind & Media collaborated with American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) to provide consistent, engaging training that’s always available. These training courses were designed in a manner that educates and motivates new volunteers with clear writing, beautiful design, and fun activities. Expanded Online Training Website for IRS
June 2008—Building on the popularity of stayexempt.org, launched in January 2006, Mind & Media posted the first of several new mini-courses to replace “once-and-done” audio seminars. The Collaboration Project Launches
May 2008--
Mind & Media helped the National Academy of Public Administration launch their new wiki, collaborationproject.org. The Collaboration Project was created to help government agencies jumpstart the use of Web 2.0 technologies in their organizations by creating a space for showcasing best practices, asking questions, and discussing common implementation and policy issues.

 

Mind & Media Releases First White Papers
April 2008--
Mind & Media released the first three white papers in a planned series, each addressing the applicability and effectiveness of forward-thinking e-learning, public awareness, and recruiting & retention initiatives. Our aim is to illuminate emerging issues and drive dialogue about how advanced communications solutions can best serve the needs of government agencies and organizations, whether delivered directly to government clients or incorporated into the offerings of prime federal contractors.
