November 2005—Mind & Media welcomes two talented new additions to our team. David Appleyard joins our Winchester office as the newest member of our Writing team, and Shalonda Moses joins us in Alexandria as a graphic designer.
A native of the UK, David has written for multiple media, including TV, radio, and print. Shalonda has more than 13 years of experience creating comprehensive design solutions for websites of Fortune 500 companies, dot.coms, and start-up companies using various eBusiness strategies.
October 2005—Mind & Media welcomes Scott J. Farrell as a project manager. Scott brings more than twenty years of full-time experience with the Army National Guard working in the areas of logistics, recruiting & retention, and human resources.
Mind & Media is pleased to welcome four new additions to our rapidly growing team. Lindsey Kesecker and Avery Snyder join our Winchester office as a graphic designer and office administrator, respectively. In Alexandria, our Strategy team welcomes both Jason Sonnenfelt and Wes Alwan.
Lindsey has experience designing a wide variety of print and interactive materials, including brochures, posters, programs, presentations, and websites. In addition to her extensive customer relations experience, Avery is artistic in all “hands on” media.
Jason is a doctoral candidate in public administration and is familiar with both the theory and practice behind social science research, performance measurement, and strategic planning. Wes brings more than 13 years of writing, editing, and strategic consulting experience and is also an accomplished Web and database developer.

Mind & Media has been selected by Washingtonian magazine as one of 55 "Greatest Places to Work" in the region. August 2005—Mind & Media welcomes two talented new additions to our team. Jay Ferrari joins us as a writer, and David Massengill joins our Client Services team as a project manager.
Well-versed in all media, Jay has written for marketing and public relations firms. David is accomplished in both resource and project management, and he has proven expertise in contract processes.

May 2005—Mind & Media employees recently participated in a survey to evaluate employee satisfaction at Mind & Media. The survey was conducted by an independent agency and examines how Mind & Media employees feel about their company and their managers, and how those responses compare to other similarly-sized companies throughout greater Washington. Mind & Media Earns "Best Places to Work" Honors
May 2005—Mind & Media, a full-service communication company offering training and marketing services across multiple media, has been recognized by Washington Business Journal as one of the 50 "Best Places to Work in Greater Washington." Mind & Media was selected from a pool of more than 230 highly-regarded companies hailing from virtually every business sector.
Mind & Media will be honored at an awards ceremony on June 10 at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner. The company will also be featured in a special supplement in the June 10 edition of Washington Business Journal.
Mind & Media Joining the SCORM Revolution
April 2005—Mind & Media is poised to tackle SCORM web-learning for our federal government clients. SCORM's standardized technical requirements can significantly reduce training costs by allowing training content to be reused and made available to virtually any user with access to the Web. By merging our instructional design and creative expertise with SCORM capabilities, we can provide our government clients with rich interactive, measurable training programs that help the government save taxpayers' dollars.
Mind & Media has also teamed with David Ealy, a specialist in designing and building SCORM-conformant learning management systems (LMS's). Our collective talents will enable us to provide our clients with full-spectrum SCORM solutions, from custom-designed SCORM LMS's to high-end multimedia training programs that incorporate compelling audio, video, and Flash.
April 2005—Mind & Media welcomes Sara Isacson as a writer. An accomplished writer and editor, Sara has conceptualized and scripted award-winning advertising campaigns for print, television, and radio production.
Mind & Media Helping the Air Force Win Over the American Public
March 2005—The US Air Force (USAF) has awarded Mind & Media the important responsibility of managing Your Guardians of Freedom (YGOF), a high-visibility public outreach program. YGOF allows commanders and Airmen to recognize the key support of family, employers, and community members. With tools like the parent, spouse, and employer pins, USAF can show appreciation for the sacrifices they make for their family member's/employee's service. To sustain and enhance YGOF, we will provide extensive website services, communication and marketing programs, customer service support, and on-demand product fulfillment. Ensuring the continued success of this vital outreach program will help USAF gain the continued support of the American public.
Mind & Media Providing Enhanced Flash Solutions
February 2005—Mind & Media has partnered with Akamai, a leading global provider of on-demand distributed application hosting and content delivery services, to provide our customers with comprehensive Flash streaming video solutions. By combining Mind & Media's strategic and creative Flash development expertise with Speedera's live and on-demand Flash streaming service, our clients can offer powerful, technologically-advanced websites to their own end users.
February 2005—Mind & Media welcomes Bethany Nguyen as a marketing coordinator. Bethany’s background includes marketing and writing for public affairs firms and media relations organizations.
Mind & Media Moving Recruiting Strategies Forward
January 2005—Mind & Media continued its successful relationship with the Office of the Secretary of Defense Acquisition, Technology & Logistics (AT&L), helping them achieve critical recruiting goals. Building on the strategic marketing plan and targeted branding campaign developed during the initial phase of this contract, we are launching a full-scale marketing initiative that will help AT&L bring smart, talented, technologically-skilled job applicants into their workforce.
The marketing program kicked off in high gear with an online promotion created to attract applicants to AT&L's dynamic careers website. The online push has already shown tremendous results, driving over 4,000 active job seekers to the website in the first two weeks alone. This spring we will expand the marketing initiative to include press releases and a targeted direct mail campaign with a unique custom-designed brochure and an exciting and informative multimedia CD.
Mind & Media Introduces Automated Fulfillment Services
January 2005—Mind & Media has created a state-of-the-art fulfillment center to augment our portfolio of advanced training, marketing, and public information programs and products. Materials stored in our high-capacity warehouse facilities are managed using the latest online fulfillment software allowing customers to easily order, ship, and track inventory through streamlined, secure electronic commerce sites. We have already implemented successful customized fulfillment solutions for clients such as the Army National Guard and the US Air Force.
January 2005—Mind & Media welcomes Josef Villanasco as the newest addition to our Business Processes team. A seasoned customer service representative, Josef will work extensively with the US Air Force’s Your Guardians of Freedom program, as well as the National Guard’s e-commerce website.
