Mind & Media Signs Development Deal
November 1998—Mind & Media and Alan Heath signed
a co-development deal for wildlife programming under the umbrella
SOS Wildlife Productions. The first series to be produced, SOS: Stories of Survival, is a 13x30 series about
endangered American wildlife and what concerned individuals
and organizations are doing to save these animals from extinction.
Mind & Media Wins Three Aegis Awards
September 1998—Mind & Media is the proud recipient
of three Aegis Awards, which showcase "outstanding film and
video productions throughout North America." The following
productions received awards: U.S. Forces in Panama: Protecting
Public Safety and the Environment; Frontiers of Medicine
(30-minute pilot) and The Eye-Popping World of Financial
Accounting, Part I.
Mind & Media Receives Three Telly Awards
April 1998—Mind & Media proudly announces that
we are the winners of three prestigious Telly Awards for the
following three productions: Magnolia Coach: Hospitality
with a Southern Style (a five-minute promotional tape); Frontiers
of Medicine (a 10-minute sales tape that sold this series
to PBS); and The Eye-Popping World of Financial Accounting,
Part I (a two-hour educational video).
Mind & Media Sells Television Series
February 1998—Frontiers of Medicine, a
26-episode television series that focuses on the cutting edge
of medical technology, will begin airing on PBS this fall.
Medtronic, a major medical manufacturing firm, will fund this
important endeavor.
Mind & Media Wins Two Prestigious Communicator Awards
January 1998—Our one-hour educational video, Getting
Online, won the Crystal Award of Distinction for How-To
Video, and our two-hour The Eye-Popping World of Financial
Accounting, Part I won the Crystal Award of Excellence.
