The Challenge

One of the IFC’s ongoing programs coordinates financing for environment-friendly, small-to-medium-sized (SME) businesses throughout the developing world (the “SME program”). To keep the SME program operating, IFC must build and maintain partnerships with governments and private donors, banks, and other financial institutions around the world. Such a continuing outreach effort to an international audience requires an insightful promotion plan and flawless implementation.

 

The Solution

Mind & Media created a promotion plan that showcased the IFC’s continuing success stories, best practices, and investment benefits. To convey those messages with clarity, Mind & Media:

  • Traveled to Guatemala and Honduras to capture the “best practices” of successful SME businesses in the IFC program
  • Edited the footage into two case studies and compressed them for the CD
  • Created original interactive map graphics and eye-catching visuals for a marketing poster, an emailable marketing video, and the CD packaging
  • Built intuitive navigation that made the CD's dense information easy to access

 

In addition, Mind & Media translated all Spanish-language materials into English.

 

The Results

Winner of the 2004 Horizon Interactive Gold Award and three other industry awards, the IFC promotional CD with its accompanying marketing materials enabled potential partners and sponsors to identify with the program and ally themselves with it.
