The Challenge

The Kaiser Family Foundation, one of the country’s foremost health information organizations, sought new ways to deliver up-to-the-minute healthcare information to medical experts, policymakers, politicians, legislative interests, and press around the world.

The Solution

Mind & Media’s work on behalf of Kaiser marked a significant change in the way the foundation disseminated information to its target audiences. Mind & Media:

  • Was instrumental in creating Kaiser’s website, Kaisernetwork.org, a pioneering forum for discussion of today’s vitally important health issues worldwide
  • Produced interactive streaming media presentations of international live healthcare conferences on Kaisernet.org by capturing, encoding, and digitizing video and audio from the conferences
  • Provided audio and visual technical staff for Kaiser’s monthly studio productions of the online programs “Ask the Expert,” “Kaiser Conversations on Health,” and “Health Affairs”
  • Produced the documentary Falling Through the Cracks: The Working Uninsured, in which diverse families told their compelling stories in their own words

The Results

As a leading provider of Web solutions and streaming services, Mind & Media has been able to help the Kaiser Family Foundation make global conferences and Capitol Hill hearings, as well as current research on healthcare, available to unprecedented numbers of people worldwide. As a result, Kaiser has taken its place as one of the premier contributors to the global discussion on healthcare.
