PROJECT MANAGER

- As an integral part of our Client Services team, you will act as a lead project manager on multiple, short turn projects and create and implement product/project plans, and run project teams.

This individual must also be a self-motivated, positive, client-focused thinker capable of working with minimal supervision in a team environment.

Education and Experience
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- Minimum 5 years experience in project and client management, business development or sales. Government project/client management a plus
- Proven track record of excellent client service including successfully managing client projects and expectations
- Good PC computer skills, including working in a network environment, Windows XP, and Microsoft Office (especially MS Excel)
- PMP certification a plus

ACCOUNTANT
Mind & Media, a cutting-edge communications firm with offices in Alexandria and Winchester, Virginia, needs an experienced, process-oriented individual to work as the right hand to the CFO. This position requires both thorough accounting knowledge/experience and stellar communication skills, and will be based out of our Alexandria office.
Primary Responsibilities/Objectives
- Handle all general accounting functions including billings, AR, AP, collections, purchase orders, and monthly close outs
- Track budgets and job costs
- Provide general pricing support for proposals
- Submit GSA quarterly reports, reports to the bank, reports to tax accountants, and other financial reports as necessary
- Oversee general audits –GSA, DCAA, state and local
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field
- Five years experience
- Demonstrated understanding of cost-based accounting principle
- Experience on the Deltek system preferred
- Experience using Excel
- Excruciating attention to details
- Excellent communication skills

COMMUNICATION CONSULTANT/ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

These new task orders should be:

Focused on awareness campaigns, workforce recruitment and customized training in the federal sector (military, health, environment and education)

Priced accurately and strategically to achieve 15-20% profitability
Time will generally be allocated as follows:
- Pre-proposal, pitches, prospecting – 60-70%

Concept papers, proposals, pricing – 20-30%

Post proposal, negotiation, closing – 10-20%

WRITER
We’re looking for an extremely rare breed of writing/consulting talent to join our team. If you’re someone who:
- Can move between the roles of writer, content developer, creative consultant, and editor with agility

- Prefers—and excels at—writing in a vast variety of mediums, from electronic to video to paper

Requirements
Ability to think logically, see the big picture, yet attend to the details
Proven writing skills, with an extensive range of web and electronic, broadcast, and print media
Firmly established analytical, strategic, writing, editing, and research abilities
Superb interviewing and communication skills with clients and subject matter experts
Ability to edit a wide variety of written materials and give feedback to others
Excellent proofreading capability, in terms of proper mechanics and clear grammar
Ability to be both fast and accurate, meeting deadlines without compromising project quality
Knack for organization enhanced with ability to prioritize multiple projects
Excellent communication and teamwork skills with supervisors and members of the Mind & Media team
Discipline to work reliably, with minimal supervision, while keeping co-workers and supervisors informed of assignment status and workload
Good business sense
Basic PC computer skills, including Windows XP, Microsoft Office (especially Word and PowerPoint)
Education
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Liberal Arts with an emphasis on strong researching, reading, writing, thinking, and speaking skills. Advanced degrees a plus.
Experience
Minimum of five years’ writing and editing experience is required.
